The Netscape
Open Directory is a hierarchical web directory organized by subject. The
directory is maintained by editors who join and choose to review and maintain
sites listed in one or more categories. Editors have the option of creating
new subcategories and moving sites between categories.
To suggest
a new site listing in the Open Directory:
-
Find the most appropriate
category for the site.
-
Submit your site
information from the
Suggest Site link at the top of that category
page.
In other words,
find the best place where your site should go, and click Suggest Site
there.
The site should
be reviewed by an editor within a short time.
Note that there
is no Suggest Site link on top-level categories such as Arts, Business,
and so on. Please find a specific sub-category for the site you want to
suggest.
Also
consider signing up as an editor to help maintain
a category. It takes only a few minutes to make the Netscape Open Directory
better for everyone on the web.
The Netscape Open
Directory team welcomes comments and feedback. Please let us know what
you think, and how we can improve the service. Thanks!
