Virtually every feature of Netscape Netcenter can be accessed from the main Netcenter page, home.netscape.com. Figure 2.1 shows the main sections of the Netscape Netcenter site.

Figure 2.1  The Netscape Netcenter site is your gateway to the Web.

To access any specific feature, just click its link on the main Netscape Netcenter page. Often, the page you link to contains even more features that you can click to access. Netscape Netcenter is so feature-rich that you may have to go down several "layers" to find the specific content or service you're looking for. To help you determine exactly where you are within the overall Netscape Netcenter site, all pages (except the main page) include a "You Are Here" navigation bar (see Figure 2.2). Just click the link to a previous section to move "up" (or "back") in the site's hierarchy.

Up Is Back  Yes, it's confusing that to move "up" in a Web site's hierarchy you have to use the "back" button in your Web browser! Try to remember that "up" is "back" and "down" is "forward."

Figure 2.2  Netscape Netcenter's "You Are Here" bar helps you pinpoint where you are in the site's hierarchy of pages.

The Global Netcenter  At the very bottom of the Netscape Netcenter page are links to versions of Netcenter customized for other countries. These include Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latin America, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Just click the appropriate country link to access a version of Netscape Netcenter specifically designed for that country-in the local language.
