Expanding Your Search with Net Search
You can access a variety of other search engines from the Netcenter home page. Click the Net Search link; the Net Search page (shown in Figure 9.3) appears, and you can click a link to any of the following:
- Seven of the major search services (Netscape, Excite, Infoseek, Lycos, LookSmart, Snap!, and News Search).
- Search the Web, with links to a variety of general search engines such as HotBot and WebCrawler.
- Explore by Topic, with links to a variety of general Web directories such as Yahoo! and Electric Library.
- Find a Product, with links to a variety of e-commerce and product review sites such as eBay and AUTOWEB.COM.
- Find a Service, with links to useful Web services such as Mortgage Quotes and the HomeSmart Resource Center.
- Find a Person, with links to various Web-based "white pages" such as Netscape People Finder, WhoWhere?, and Bigfoot.
- Find a Business, with links to various Web-based Yellow Pages such as the Netscape Yellow Pages.
