Installing SmartDownload
Before you can use SmartDownload, you have to install it on your computer:
- From the Netscape Netcenter home page (home.netscape.com), click the Download icon.
- When the Download page appears, click the SmartDownload link.
- When the SmartDownload page appears, click the Start Here link.
- When the next page appears, click the Download button.
- When the Save As dialog box appears, choose to save the file to your desktop, then click the Save button.
- When the download is complete, the file is saved to your computer and a new icon called smartDownload.exe appears on your desktop. Double-click this icon to automatically install the SmartDownload program.

Is SmartDownload Installed? Some newer versions of Netscape Communicator come with SmartDownload preinstalled. If this is the case, you don't have to download it again! |
