When you go to the Netscape Netcenter home page (home.netcenter.com), you see a summary of today's headlines in the right-hand column, provided by ABCNEWS.com. However, this isn't the only news available on Netcenter.

Click the News link to access Netcenter's News channel (see Figure 23.1). Here you find more of today's general news, as well as links to the following topic-specific news pages:

• Business News  Link to Netcenter's Business channels, discussed in Lesson 20, "Using the Business Channels."
• Stock Quotes  Link to Netcenter's Personal Finance channel, discussed in Lesson 22, "Using the Personal Finance Channel."
• Tech News  Link to CNET's computer news in Netcenter's Computing & Internet channel, discussed in Lesson 19, "Using the Computing & Internet Channel."
• Local News  Link to local news for your city, part of Netscape's Local channel, discussed in Lesson 25, "Using the Local Channel."
• Entertainment News  Link to Netcenter's Entertainment channel, programmed by Entertainment Tonight Online, discussed in Lesson 24, "Using the Entertainment Channel."
• Sports News  Link to Netcenter's Sports channel, programmed by SportsLine USA.
• Weather  A comprehensive Weather department provided by WeatherLabs. You need to tell WeatherLabs where you are (entering your ZIP code works best), then you get a detailed 24-hour forecast, along with links to an extended forecast, historical reports, today's weather highlights, and a variety of maps-including Doppler radar, current conditions, forecast conditions, and a current satellite photo.
