The Kids & Family channel also has a variety of family-focused reference resources, all accessible from its main page:

  • Ask Mom, M.D.  Family health information from pediatrician Karen M. Kaplan, MD.
  • Ask the Teacher  Education-related information from teacher Dana McMillan.
  • Just Ask  A general reference database from AskJeeves!-kind of a family-friendly Web-based encyclopedia of information that screens Web sites and also presents only the most relevant sites in response to your questions.

Other Channels for Friends and Families  Netscape Netcenter has two other channels that may be of interest to its family members. The Education channel has departments for K-12, Universities & Colleges, Continuing Education, and Reference, as well as services to help students find, rank, and apply to specific colleges. The Lifestyles channel features departments like Food & Drink, Hobbies & Recreation, Home & Garden, Men's Issues, and Women's Issues, as well as useful information from HomeArts.

In this lesson you learned about the Kids & Family channel. In the next lesson you learn about another channel for kids of all ages: the Games channel.
