Using the Personal Search Agent

Don't want to start a new online search every day? Then let Monster.com's Personal Search Agent do the looking for you!

This Is a Separate Registration  Registering for the Personal Search Agent is separate from your Netscape Netcenter registration; you need to create a new username and password to use this service, even if you're already a Netcenter member.

The Personal Search Agent automatically searches the Monster.com job database for you. Whenever new jobs that match your search criteria are posted online, you are notified by email. Here's how it works:

  1. From the Netscape Career Center page, click the Personal Search Agent link.
  2. When the login page appears, enter your Monster.com username and password and click the Log Me In! button, or if it's your first visit, click the Create a New Account link to obtain a username and password.
  3. When the Agents page appears, enter the keywords you want to search for, select a location, and then click the Create button.
  4. Your new personal search agent is now created. The next time you visit the Agents page, your agent is listed; you can create additional agents (up to a total of five) to search additional locations or for different jobs.

The Personal Search Agent searches the Monster.com database every day for jobs that match your search criteria. You receive an email message notifying you when a match has been found. (The actual jobs will not be listed in the message; you'll need to click the link included in the email to retrieve the search results.)
